The direct CO2 emissions from the combustion of fossil fuels from the Nymolla mill and internal transportation are fully captured and used for the production of precipitated calcium carbonate (PCC) filler. In fact, more CO2 was captured in 2022 than the amount released on site. Therefore, Nymolla mill doesn’t generate any fossil CO2 emissions linked to Scope 1.
Since 2008, the electricity purchased externally is from climate-neutral sources and there are no fossil CO2 emissions linked to Scope 2.
The reduction of the carbon footprint for Multicopy Zero will focus on the reduction of Scope 3.
The project restores degraded forest reserves in Ghana with teak, indigenous trees and natural forest in riparian buffer zones, following the principles and criteria of the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).
This project focuses on sustainable wood production, land restoration and carbon sequestration through afforestation.
